A rite of passage for many, we managed to drag the bairns up not one, but two Munros today. One bairn may never go on a hill again, but the other might be persuaded. 

16years since my last visit, and 25 since I'd been up this route. The NTS have done some good path maintenance here and it was a delight to walk. Of course a dry and warm day had a lot to do with that. 

It was very busy with a constant procession of pilgrims making their sweaty way to the summit. The view was magnificent and we could see from Ben Nevis to the Lomonds in Fife. 

On the way down, I escaped to the north to bag a pudding of a Corbett - Meall nam Maigheach. Not worth a solitary trip so was glad to get rid of that one easily.
