What's that on your head, William!

I've no idea why Sir William Wallace has this strange creature on his helmet.
Kelvingrove was busy this morning and I accompanied a group of Polish, Japanese and Irish on a tour of paintings and Art Nouveau exhibits.
PS just discovered it's meant to be a dragon, possibly due to his family origins in Wales.
