Stories from the extreme south

I've read two or three books about the "golden era" of Antarctic exploration which only fueled my interest, so I ordered Sir Ernest Shackleton's book about his legendary Endurance Expedition, which is about the ultimate survival story, and a book based on the journals of Robert Falcon Scott on his tragic Terra Nova Expedition. They arrived today.
