Terrible Tuesday

It's back!

It's been 'not so bad Tuesday' for a little while now, but today was the pits, a real 'glass half empty' kind of day.

I've been non stop since I got into work at 12.45; no brew, no pee, nothing!

It's been a day of nagging my nurse to hurry up, clean up and get the next person in.

A day of one receptionist trying to do the job of 2 people (while the other one was largely awol I'd say missing in action but by all accounts, there wasn't any action)

A day with no stock in my surgery yet again; including a missing tub of Vaseline (that I bought out of my own money and labelled as mine). The patient that I needed it for ended up getting her own out of her handbag for me to use.....how embarrassing!!!!!

We needed a specific type of filling for another patient and we had none anywhere in the practice, so make do and mend yet again.

AWOL receptionist reappeared at 5pm and thought my nurse was there to make her a coffee; I told him his responsibility was with me and the patients, he's not a tea boy, especially when neither of us had had a drink or break all afternoon!

On top of this, patients booked in for the wrong thing or on the wrong day, which I end up having to apologise for even though it's nothing to do with me.

Suffice to say, 7pm couldn't come quick enough and I was out of there like a flash.

Now to top up that glass.....!
