Total sensory overload day...
... for no.2 son. We've all had a fab day out, but there was car; walk; tram; walk; bus; museum; lunch; museum; cafe; walk; tram; walk; car and tesco all before home to the beloved trampoline.
There were some meltdowns but also we established that ours is the country that looks like a nose (who knew?)
We talked about the Earth's core and layers and where we see volcanoes and earthquakes.
We tried to take a selfie with a t-rex (that one didn't make the cut!).
We saw a (stuffed?) arctic fox (notable only as a sometime imaginary animal of choice).
We talked about the difference between real and alive (whilst looking at a very large lion!)
And we giggled at a human skeleton (us with no skin on!)
So overall, a win.
Plus I had family on hand for crowd control entertainment with no.1 son so he got to wander around more than usual. Plus he found 9 Pokemon on the way home - which were considerably cheaper than the £12 cat he had wanted from the gift shop :-)
As I say, a win.
