Benbecula

We drove through Benbecula and on to South Uist today. The weather was glorious to begin with if a bit on the breezy side. Our campsite has a wee café on it so we sampled their lunchtime menu. The rain came in and we took the opportunity to laze around. It cheered up a bit later and we walked round to the Polochar Inn where we had a delicious meal - biggest scallops I have ever seen!

I forgot to mention yesterday that Mr Q was extremely excited to be able to see St Kilda from North Uist - it's 30 miles off the coast. Maybe one day we will pluck up the courage to go there - it's a bit of a hairy boat journey I believe!
