Beach art

Someone left some 'beach art' which brought a smile to our faces on today's bike adventure.

Rode to a different part of the island about 6 miles out where we encountered a dead end. The plan, by my map reader husband, was to turn around & go back the same way we came. While all (or most) of the roads here are gravel the roads on this trip were particularly bumpy with lots of loose gravel, stones, and sand making for an uncomfortable ride. My husband consulted the map & discovered that if we walked our bikes a short distance from the dead end into the woods we would come out to the shoreline where we could continue walking our bikes until finding the trail in the woods leading to our road! I felt like I was on the TV show 'Survivor' (which I've only seen once) but it was fun!!
