Maps Magic

One of my interest is collecting maps for all over and today a forth coming short holiday has stirred me to have a turn out. As well as the modern OS maps I buy for holidays I have a small collection of old maps dating from around 1890-1900 and a few maps that bear a picture on the cover painted on the whole by OS mappers, many of whom as well as being expert draftsmen, were fine water colour artist. The one at the back from Gunong Blumut  which I rescued from a Jungle exercises in Malaya and is very hard to read    
Well before Mrs M finds a home for them, its back to the cupboard.
