Forest Detail

The summer is my least favourite time of year for forest photography mainly due to harsh light and lack of variation in the heavy green canopy. However following the rain it was good to wander through the woods today   absorbing the sights and sounds of the season.

I took very few pics and discarded most of them but was attracted to this detail on an old log. A splash of colour and a forest scene in the extras all best seen on the black background as usual.
