Famous second hand bookshop in Alnwick. Based in the former Alnwick station it has an enormous selection, plus an online catalogue. They have a good railway section, I was very self controlled and only spent £1.80 (one pound and eighty pence)! However, there is a sting in the tail. Due to Barter Books having the station building, the Aln Valley Railway had to make a new station site on a business park outside Alnwick for their project to reopen the branch-line to Alnmouth
