Unidentified Flying Object

Whilst on a walk today we came across a piece of waste ground wedged between a major dual carriageway and a supermarket carpark which was jam packed full of wildlife. There were butterflies, grasshoppers, caterpillars, bees, hoverflies and a pair of these gorgeous dragonflies. I am not going to attempt to identify it because there are so  many varieties. Suffice it to say, it was big (about 4in long) green and well camouflaged.
We'll definitely go back again another day.

This area is also behind a car wash. One of the operatives came through the bushes (probably to relieve himself) but got a big shock when he saw 2 middle aged women with cameras :) Perhaps he'll think twice before doing it again.
