AbstractThursday58 Mother of Pearl

I've not managed to put up a photo since Monday, for no particular reason.  Well, I suppose I've been quite busy and not been all that enamoured of the pictures that I took but I do like to create something for Abstract Thursday and as this week, Youoregon1 has allowed to choose our own theme, how could I not take part!

My image began as bubbles not shells.  I had wanted to do one of those super reflection in a bubble shots but my bubble mix isn't stable enough to create long lasting ones. I'd all but given up when daughter #1 found the set of shaped  bubble wands we have ( to amuse Violet) and managed to blow the frothy mass that I've added as an extra.
Some colour enhancement and a little distortion in PS has resulted in a pleasing enough effect which rather reminds me of Mother of Pearl

In other news: I've made no secret of the fact that I'd like to start retiring  soon and this week have made some progress in arranging to outsource the payroll that I run for our business.  I think 20 years being tied to this particular chore is long enough and I shall be happy to pass over the responsibility  at the end of this year.  There's still lots of tasks  left for me to do but none that I find quite as onerous.
