The next bonfire

Today is Hanne Lene's birthday... We have had lots of celebrations leading up to the day, so she was just about ready to enter the next decade, or as one of our pragmatic friends put it, "the final third".
We are off on holiday to the Azores soon so we spent some of the day getting things sorted. Amazing how much you can find to
sort out before a holiday. Among other things I shifted a large pile of hedge clippings out to the field: the beginnings of a winter solstice bonfire I expect.
Friends called round early evening with a fine birthday present - a specially commissioned handmade base - and then we went out for supper.
All in all a good day.
