Seriously?
This is the sixth (SIXTH) consecutive blip I have posted about our really crappy, rainy weather. This isn't normally how the monsoon effects us, either. Typical July/August days begin with the sun shining and heat building into the late afternoon. At the hottest part of the day dark storm clouds will pop up and a wicked storm would blow through, Most of the time, these storms are localized and last no more than 20 minutes.
Not this season. The days have been starting cloudy and dreary and the rain has been sustained for long periods of time. Thunder has been rumbling through during various parts of the day. It's been yucky.
There might be hope for tomorrow.
While we have been getting our share of rain and localized flooding (we've been under flash flood watches/warnings for days), the Phoenix area, 108 miles (174 km) northwest of Tucson, has been getting slammed. Here is a news video showing their "once in a 100 year" floods.
