House Sparrow

The House Sparrows continue to claim, and defend, our yard as their territory.
We resized the entrances to our two bird houses, making them smaller to accommodate the Black-capped Chickadees and excluding the sparrows.
This male actually needed Kathy to assist him in pulling its head back out of the nest box he was forcing his way into.
We hope the Chickadees will come back next year.
