Helicopter Heroes

This is one of the heavy helicopters that has just dipped its bucket into a local pond. There are some dipping into the river, as well. A heavy helo such as this on can scoop up to 2, 600 gallons. The smaller helos carry much less but can maneuvre into tight areas. these guys are flying from dawn to dusk and have made building a fireline with bulldozers possible. The line is holding and Hamilton is safe for now. The Lion is heading west into the wilderness area.
