Hawker

After Monday's dragonfly exuvia, a live one.  This Southern Hawker was perched in a glade in Spring Wood. There were also plenty of Brown Hawkers patrolling the meadows, but none that paused for a photo.

A fair few butterflies about too, including in descending order of abundance: Meadow Brown, Gatekeeper, Small White, Small Tortoiseshell, Small Skipper, Speckled Wood, Large White, Green-veined White, Comma, Peacock, Small Heath and Ringlet. You'll find some in the extras.
