Continuing Birthday

From time to time it seems a day is just too short a time in which to celebrate a birthday. Today for lunch we went to Rustico, a Southern Italian restaurant in the city. Very pleasant but quite filling, they do not stint on the portions! After lunch we went to the nearby Braided Fig, which I will call a wine bar. They may not call themselves a wine bar, but we had a leisurely glass of wine in comfortable surroundings! Looking at the drinks menu I notice they have been caught up in the current craze for gin, a few years ago I think vodka was the fashionable drink.

In the centre of the wine bar there is a large tree, considering the name of the establishment I have to assume it is a fig tree. After a relaxing glass of wine we got the bus back home. A rather limited supper this evening as the lunch time repast seemed to cover the evening also.
