Baby Elizabeth

Still only about 6 weeks old, little Elizabeth is doing very well.  She is well protected by the other elephants so it was hard to get a clear line through to her; her mother, aunt and brother are keeping her safe. Elizabeth is the latest addition to the herd at Whipsnade Zoo.  I have spent the day there with two very good friends and it was a way of celebrating Mary's birthday.  

We had a superb picnic with Bucks Fizz and other goodies.  One of Mary's presents was a bubble blowing trumpet, which proved a great hit with the young children close to us in the picnic area - and with us too.

The weather was just perfect and we were one of the last cars to leave the zoo.  A couple of extras with the magnificent tiger and a transparent butterfly.
