Mount Holyoke View

We took a mid-afternoon  outing to the summit of Mt. Holyoke, near us in Hadley, Mass., with our friends Daralee (here for the week) and Carol (here for lunch and the afternoon).  The Summit House at the top was open, after a long period of restoration, and this is a view (ca. southwesterly) from its balcony.  It show the Connecticut River, with its  famous Oxbow (follow the link for a much closer view and  much more information), although it's hardly visible, surrounded by fully leafed-out trees.
