Baseball in the Bronx in a Ballpark Far Far Away

And what an amazing experience it was, to see the New York Yankees playing the Cleveland Indians....and win.

Baseball games are something Americans do really very well.  The atmosphere is a mix of music festival, food, dancing, singing, TV and oh yes, the game.  The crowd consisting of competing sides is all mixed together and made up of every age.  It's a social occasion to meet up with friends and make new ones.  And with Americans there is always someone to talk to.  

Tonight's game had a Star Wars theme (no idea why) and there were Storm troopers, Chewbacca, Darth Vader and the rest parading around.

As we were 5 of the first 18,000 to get in we were  handed a Yankees R2D2 bobble hat as a souvenir.  Even the getting there and getting home was straightforward.  

All in all we had a ball tonight!
