Fairy Fort

We visited the Aillwee Caves after Kinvara Harbour and Dunguaire Castle. On our way down the mountain to the falconry we were lucky enough to spot this herd of cows circumambulating the fort as though guardians of the inhabitants of the circle of trees......

The raptor show luckily played out in the best weather of the day and many photos were taken!!!
Onward then around The Burren....stopping every few hundred yards for another stunning view.

It's difficult to imagine fields of limestone with hardly a blade of grass but the beauty of this scenery needs to be seen to be believed. Unfortunately the weather was very showery........... but the company was excellent.... :-) ....just saying
