Ode to Chris

Great Uncle Chris; my lovely husband's uncle has been with us on holiday this week. He drove from Lancashire to the west coast of Scotland in the 3-wheeler car he built by himself, bringing with him 24 free range eggs and his infectious laugh.

Our little ones and their three cousins have loved having him around. He has played endless games of table tennis, french cricket and football; has monitored the courtyard cycling, dragged them through the surf on body boards and repeatedly carried one or other of them home from the beach on his shoulders.

Today Chris delighted the boys by giving them each a chance to ride with him for a few miles along the single track road beside Loch Morar.
