Garden Olympics
Today was the big project of the TV lounge- Gavin was up early and essentially emptied everything out of the room, and I then had the job of sorting through old videos, CD's and DVD's - no one uses videos anymore so we binned most of them, although Adam asked us to keep a few of his childhood favourites to 'show his children one day what a video cassette looked like!' We then went and bought paint ( a very pale light grey) - thankfully Gavin and I are always in agreement on things like that, whenever we have redecorated and had to choose paint or tiles or fittings we choose within minutes and agree on the choice - Gavin always says too much choice is confusing, so we decided very quickly. Now he is busy painting the room and it will look so much better when he is finished as it was very much overdue for a fresh coat of paint.
It was a beautiful sunny day today, and the boys had fun playing with the rugby ball in the garden - our own version of the Olympics! It was very hot which is why they have no shirts on! I have not yet watched the opening ceremony of the Olympics, I must do so - four years ago it was a very different story, we were glued to the TV for nearly every event. I suppose the time difference between here and Brazil does not make it easy to watch the events live.
