Seeing dots!

Week 32 of my art journall52- prompt-complimentary colours. I thought I would try my hand at an impressionist style painting of the flowers in my garden- while the sun was shining! I did a bit of research on Claude Monet and found that he only used 9 colours-cadmium yellow,
cadmium yellow light, vermilion,
cobalt blue,
French aquamarine,
white,
alizarin red
emerald and viridian green.
I used them with the pointillist technique and tried to place complimentary colour side by side as Monet did so beautifully. The dark colours were made by mixing the complimentary colours together (not black) It was hard as the light kept changing- but fun!
