St Albans from 2,000 feet

Today I was lucky enough to be taken up for a sightseeing flight over south east England with a friend in a 4 person Piper plane. The weather was perfect and we could see for miles around, even the Shard was visible in the distance. We flew over a few sightseeing spots including Blenheim Palace, Chequers and St Albans, I couldn't spot my house. For 10 minutes I was given control of the plane, it felt like steering through treacle but I managed to keep us on track! Once we landed we went for lunch at one of Britain's many 'oldest' pubs, this one was the Standard in Beaconsfield and claims to be the oldest freehouse as its never been tied to a brewery. A lovely day out
