Decking

Some sorting and DIY has been happening here! G decided she is going to tackle the mould and cracks on the decking, and then she's going to put a protective coat, so we had a trip to B&Q to get necessary equipment. This picture is taken around 7pm. The sun is still so bright and a bit harsh. The chimnea has come out of storage; not that we can use it.

Had to have a siesta as we stayed up till 4am to watch the Olympic flame being lit. I love watching all the athletes come into the stadium, but couldn't stay awake for the whole thing. Nice ceremony. I couldn't get over the colour of the suits of the last row of people. That was wild!

And we also got to experience Putney this morning. Went over to Laura Ashley to change a jacket. G likes the look of the High Street and wants to check it out... I thought it looked like quite an upmarket settlement. The bits I saw anyway...

And I placed an Amazon order on Wednesday night and couldn't believe it when a woman came and plonked an item on the kitchen floor just as we were heading out. Totally unexpected, as we're not allowed to receive things on park, but she said she was the courier and was delivering the item I ordered. Very nice! I hope my new camera case arrives soon so I can start taking it out with me.
