Festival, Ponta Delgada

Arrived in Ponta Delgada after a three and a half hour flight. It is very humid. The old town is charming; cobbled streets and a Portuguese colonial style of building.
Outside the hotel, a festival is in progress in the streets. Hundreds of people are promenading, mostly dressed in white. Firecrackers are going off and I took this IPad photo from our balcony. Think we might go out for a little wander and maybe a nightcap before bed...
