Dam!

Had a great day today. This week-end is the annual Potato Festival, yep you heard me correctly, There are a lot of potato farms around here;). Went to check things out and also went for a walk to the pond and Spring creek. Bugs were crazy at the creek so headed over to Nicolston Dam. It is a really beautiful place that has a family history. My husbands great, great, great Grandfather started a mill there when he came here from Scotland and a small town grew up around it. The town is gone but the dam and the old mill are still there. His cousin owns it and it is now a campground. Tons more pics over on Flickr (booklover61).
