on the bay

I helped a friend move paintings and drawings into her studio for storage. She lives on the east shore of Cowichan Bay. On the shoreline I photographed her neighbour's house. I like the cedar shingles on the exterior of the house.

The house is close to the water's edge. Low tide when I took this photograph.

My friend's father immigrated from Scotland to Canada. She visits Scotland on occasion where she travels to the island of Iona. She introduced me to the work of the British artist, Andy Goldsworthy who lives in Scotland.
