Clear Day in South Canterbury

A crisp clear day here in South Canterbury, remnants of Fridays snow still on the ground in certain parts, but in others it was in the disdant foothills and on the mountains where it belongs. The snowfall on friday was a challenge for myself as a newbie bus driver. It was a baptism of snow driving in a snowstorm not knowing how the vehicle would behave, there were some slippery hills to contend with slick corners that had me gripping the wheel with white knuckles. I survived the day and learned a lot. Today I met my sister in Ashburton for lunch for a bit of a catch up and on my journey up I stopped for a couple of panoramic shots ( see xtras). The snow had melted by the time of my return journey to Timaru except for the sheltered areas. I wouldn't mind not seeing anymore snow down at sea level this winter, I think I have had enough for this year!!!
