Renewal

Fifty-five years ago I was a bridesmaid at this church, St Peter's, Woodmansterne. I was back again today with the then bride and groom who came to renew their wedding vows. We were so pleased to join them, together with a granddaughter and her husband, on this special day. The local congregation made us very welcome and it was a moving moment.
Afterwards we had lunch at the nearby pub. It was good to spend time with Helen and David while they are on holiday in England, away from their home in South Africa. Who knows when they will be back again.

Last night's dinner party was a success, and the place mats survived!
