Up the creek

Not really up the creek but up the narrow channel into Birdham. We thought we'd try and get in at the earliest possible time but got stuck in the mud a few times.
The lock keeper kept an eye on us and opened the gates as soon as he could, then we carefully went into the lock with about half an inch of water under the keel. It was as close as you could get!
