Japanese Wineberry - Rubus phoenicolasius

I have seen this plant growing in more and more locations in recent years but I have only just looked it up to identify it.

In some places, it was obviously deliberately planted there but I have found it growing wild at the edge of woodland and here beside a railway line. Obviously an escape from cultivation.
