Deep Time

The Edinburgh International Festival officially opened with a light and sound event projected onto Edinburgh Castle rock. A 20 minute show reflecting the changing geological history of this area, accompanied by music from Scottish band Mogwai.

I had little hope that my handheld camera would take any other than blurry photos, especially with moving images, but amazingly I got some good shots. An extra shows dinosaurs stalking across the castle walls.

I see that there are some other blips for the event tonight, too.
