I feel like this picture sums up my day well as it was very interesting but also very wet!
Today I went for a free guided tour round New Zealand's Parliament. I found it very interesting and was pleased with the similarities I found between it and the Scottish Parliament. Although originally having a bicameral system they changed this to just one house and have an important emphasis on select committees. Their record on gender balance is also excellent obviously they were one of the first countries to give women the vote thanks to Kate Sheppard but their house currently has approximately 60/40 which is ahead of many. I spent the rest of the day in museums which are free here, very interesting and well set up.
