Backyard Standoff

As I was out in the backyard this morning trying (unsuccessfully) to get a good pic of the Robin's nest, this scene developed on the fence. It was pretty funny, the two of them just staring at one another. I think the Cardinal caved first and flew away.  The squirrel is lucky he didn't run into a Blue Jay. ;-)
