Ironing Pile

Sunday evening was always ironing night in our house. Shiv did it and she would iron everything! She would have even ironed me if she had spotted some creases given the chance.
I decided early on that I would not do No 1 and 2's washing or ironing, that was their job. The trouble with this plan was that they would seem to wait until every article of clean clothing was exhausted before any clothes made their way downstairs to the washing machine. This in turn meant the washing machine was out of my control for a least a couple of days to cope with the backlog, and it upset my finely tuned process!
Anyway, No 2 to her credit announced that she would iron all her clothes yesterday. I went to bed about 10, when she was midway through. This morning I was confronted with this scene in our living room, hopefully the job to be resumed later. Ah well, it's a step in the right direction!
