It's Official!

What a day, reading business papers until 10.30 then the official opening of the new tertiary education centre housing several sections of TAFE, the states vocational education provider and some areas of Newcastle University. Todays blip is of the unveiling of the plaque, with state and federal Members of Parliament. Then to to the Visitor Information Centre for the afternoon. Followed by a council briefing then meeting from 4.30 to 8.00 followed by dinner to 9.00. Tonight's meeting was the last for this four year term of office. This is my seventeenth year as a councillor and I feel that it is time to look for other challenges. Di had a bottle of wine in the fridge foe a celebration, so we will save that for tomorrow afternoon. Hope you have a great day, cheers Malcolm.
