Lakeside abstract

The bright vivid blue of a dragonfly caught my eye as it darted about on the other side of a small lake.  I made a total mess of capturing it cleanly as it wouldn't settle and I knew I had to be quick!  In the end I rather like this abstract shot of it in full flight before it darted off.  It looks a bit like a cross between a UFO and some sort of river fairy!

The French for dragonfly I've discovered is "libellule" which is such a lovely sounding word!
