AOG8 ~ Great Blue Heron Training

This reporter went out early this morning to gather the back story on the Great Blue Heron spying scandal at Canyon Gate Stadium.

It appears that Harry is actually Harriet and she has a young offspring she is training for AOG2020. They were at a quiet lake practicing the one foot stance that is used just before the "grab and snatch". An adult black-crowned night heron was watching from the sidelines.

After the training session, the youngster flew to check out the human's "lake" before going to it's perch on top of a house to watch the events starting to get underway. (extra photo)

I am grateful that all this occurs within walking distance of my house. What a great place to live!
