New stairs!

Stu and I were at the house for 9.30 this morning.  We re covered the window in the lounge ready for plastering this week, before Stu started ripping out the old staircase.  Stu is pretty good with a sledgehammer so I left him too it and just cleared up the mess/moved it to the garden. Dad then arrived to help us put the new stairs in.  Although it was a bit of a faff due to the new stairs sitting over the cellar hatch everything went to plan.  We still need to buy and fit the hand rail and spindles but will probably wait till we have got our bed up the stairs.
In the photo you can see a black line up the wall which is where the old stairs sat. You can really see the difference in steepness between the old and the new.
