Teetering on the edge...

This is the back of Edinburgh Castle.  The front of the castle is obviously the most photographed as it has the grand esplanade and entrance which allows you the most amazing views of the city - and the castle itself really is spectacular, but I like this view - especially when it's been a damp, miserable day.  It looks dark and imposing...as if it's just going to topple off of there at any moment!  When I was younger I would lose myself in Enid Blyton's Famous Five books and this view makes me feel like I am a character of one of those books, marooned on Kirrin Island!  You can just imagine lots of tunnels and alley-ways hidden in among all that rock...
