Garden Flower Power

Partly a domestic day, and partly a family day. We cut the lawn and did a bit of gardening this morning, and spent some time with my nephew this afternoon.

He's off to Iceland for a year at the end of August, volunteering with the British Red Cross. So he was visiting friends and family before he goes. 

I managed to save him some cash, as I had a jacket I received as part of my Arctic trip last year. I didn't need it, and he would find it more useful there than I would in the UK. So he set off back to London with an extra coat, knowing he'd be able to spend the money on something else he might need for cooler weather.

I think there might be a little trip to Iceland planned next year to pay him a visit!
