And What is this Bug?

It is quite large, perhaps more than an inch long.  I think
it is a cicada, but have not confirmed that. It was only
when I enlarged it that I noticed its colorations on
its body.  Nature holds so many secrets!  AND are
there not beautiful patterning on its wings.
