Today's the day ......................... to roam

I do like walks that start from your front door.

Bob and Helen took us off on a ramble down into the Hodder Valley - and then up the other side so that we could look across to Stocks Reservoir.  I remembered that we had been there a few years ago for a brief visit.  We had a picnic on the grass in the sunshine.  Sandwiches eaten outside always taste delicious, don't they?!

The scenery in the Forest of Bowland comprises vast, sweeping landscapes that seem to stretch for miles in all directions.  The skies above are equally huge and today the clouds, occasionally dark and rain-filled, scudded across at a rate of knots.  The light was constantly changing.
