University Parks: Hornet Mimic Hoverfly

More massive in large.

This certainly caught my eye: these hornet mimic hoverflies are huge! I've linked to a picture of one before (in this blip), but haven't blipped one. Here is another angle; I also uploaded a bumble bee on Eryngium (pale and blue), and a rather pretty purple Hibiscus flower.
