Loch Broom

Ullapool is very beautiful with Loch Broom ( Loch Bhraoin, "loch of rain showers") towards the distant hills. This was early this morning.
In today's class we were doing 'frottage'. It's not as rude as it sounds. I scooted down the hill on my bike to gather rubbings from the tombstones in the old burial ground and was thankful for an hour on my own in the warm sunshine, so warm in fact that the wax crayons were starting to melt!
The slog back up the hill to my apartment is pretty grueling but I suppose it will help digest the fish & chips I ate sitting on the beach in the evening sunshine.
