Swedish Feast!
Hello Blipfriends!
Dolly reporting today!
Oh, today was a perfect day! We went to have lunch with Alice's Grandma and Grandpa who live nearby. The only sad part was that Alice didn't get to come with. She and I were both sad about that but when we are both together it can get pretty boisterous, so Elisabet thought it better if I was the only poodle who got to go. Poor Alice!
Grandma is a great cook!! She made a traditional Swedish Smörgåsbord including 3 types of pickled herring, salmon, meatballs and a few other delicious things. AND - she made an onion-free meatball specially for me which I got to eat before the others sat down. Mum sampled all the other human food and she thought it was all wonderful.
We finally had to say our goodbyes and I was glad to get back to Alice and we went on one of her favourite walks in the nature preserve near their apartment. We walked through the oak meadows and Alice showed me more of her rock climbing skills. There is a new equestrian centre that has just been built and this is us in front of it. I love visiting Alice's favourite places which previously I have only read about in her blips.
Earlier in the day - before lunch - we had another outing. Mum had to take the car in for a minor repair after our long road journey (1200 miles/2000 kms!!) and after we dropped it off we went on a short city walk. You can see it in our extra photo. We walked past the City Palace and the Cathedral (only Mum went in) and the Municipal building. Mum and I both think that Linköping is a beautiful city!
