Paterson appreciation

My parents in law have been staying in our house whilst we have been on holiday (as they have done for the last several years).  This has meant that we have been able to leave without too much planning, and been able to rest assured that the house/dog/cats/fish/bearded dragon will be looked after beautifully.

This year they had to cope with a mini flood from a worn stopcock which caused much anxiety but little damage thanks to the fact they were actually here.  

(Water problems have continued today with a team from the water board all day repairing a burst pipe over the road - since we still have water - and all the houses on Horseheath Road don't, I've just taken them a cup of tea.)
